Service lines leading from the property line to the meter location shall be buried to a depth of not less than 24 inches and at a distance of at least 36 inches from any existing ditch or ditches. The point at which a service line enters a building must be above the finished grade. Service lines shall be installed in a location permitting proper location of the gas meter. The locations of service lines and meters shall be selected by the gas company.
