(A) All private wells shall comply with standards promulgated by the State Health Department.
(B) After the effective date of this section, no person shall install a private well without first obtaining a permit from the city. No permit shall be granted unless the applicant demonstrates that the proposed private well is not located within 1,000 feet of any of the city’s existing wells or well systems.
