Service pipes from the water main to the meter or valve within the building shall be not less than one inch outside diameter and shall be made of Type K copper, cast iron, or Polyethylene CTS200PSI-D2737 (AWWA C901); and from the meter or valve within the building shall be brass pipe, copper tube or copper pipe, galvanized iron pipe or galvanized steel pipe, or PEX, which must meet ASTM standard F876/877.
