A home occupation may be carried on only within a building, except as otherwise provided in this section. No building may be remodeled, added to, or otherwise altered in such a manner as to diminish or otherwise alter the residence character of the structure. Access to that part of a dwelling used for a home occupation may be had only through an entrance used also as an entrance to the part of the building occupied as a dwelling. The Planning Commission may issue a special permit authorizing photographic sessions to be conducted by a commercial photographer outdoors on residential premises occupied by the photographer; the permit may include authorization for such work to be done, also, by photographer business associates or employees of the photographer.
