§ 4-2-33 NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE; ADOPTED.
   The 2017 Edition of NFPA 70, National Electrical Code, as published by the National Fire Protection Association, is adopted for the purpose of establishing rules and regulations for the construction, alteration, maintenance, and removal of all equipment within or on all buildings, private or public, within the area of city jurisdiction. Reference to “the National Electrical Code” or “the Electrical Code” throughout the municipal code shall mean this code. Except for those portions specifically excluded or modified by this or other sections of the municipal code, the National Electrical Code is adopted in this section by reference. The construction, alteration, maintenance, and removal of all electrical equipment shall comply with the National Electrical Code and with additional requirements as are prescribed in this article. One copy of the National Electrical Code shall be on file in the City Clerk’s office.
