(A) Basic License Fee - Taxicab Companies. The annual basic license fee for Taxicab companies shall be $400. If received after October 1 of the applicable year, a $50 late fee shall be added for each calendar month the fee remains unpaid. A single day after each calendar month shall constitute an additional calendar month for purposes of this subsection.
(B) Authorization Sticker. Upon payment of the annual fee by the licensee, the Village Clerk shall issue suitable tags or stickers for the number of vehicles covered by each license.
(1) The annual fee for the authorization sticker required by this Chapter shall be $50 for each public passenger vehicle operated. This fee shall increase to $100 if received after October 1 of the applicable year.
(2) The annual fee for the authorization sticker for a vehicle used as a public passenger vehicle and as a package delivery vehicle shall be $100. This fee shall increase to $200 if received after October 1 of the applicable year.
(3) In addition, the annual fee for the authorization sticker required by this Chapter shall be $75 for each van, charter, package delivery, truck or other livery vehicle not used as a public passenger vehicle. This fee shall increase to $150 if received after October 1 of the applicable year.
(C) When the number of vehicles to be operated shall be increased during the license year, the licensee shall notify the Village Clerk of the change and shall pay the additional fee. The fee shall be in addition to any other vehicle fee required by ordinance.
(D) Chauffeur ID Card. This card will be issued by the Schiller Park Police Department, provided all of the requirements of this Municipal Code have been met. The annual fee for processing an application for the Chauffeur ID Card is $70. However, if a criminal background investigation is not performed as provided in § 123.14(F), the annual processing fee for the Chauffeur ID card is $25. This card must be renewed and the processing fee must be paid annually. An additional $25 shall be paid the Village for processing an application for renewal of a Chauffeur ID Card after October 1.
