The village marshal or any person so designated by the village president and board of trustees is hereby authorized to abate any violation hereof and may enter upon private property at all reasonable hours for the purpose of inspecting such nuisance, and posting notice and abating the nuisance. The person owning, leasing, or occupying the property shall be given seven (7) days to abate the nuisance. If the owner or custodian has not abated the conditions within seven (7) days of the date notice is provided, the Village may abate the nuisance. The person owning, leasing, or occupying the property shall be responsible for all cost of such abatement and shall reimburse the Village of Scales Mound for all cost borne by the Village to enforce the conditions of this chapter.
