4-2-4: DISTURBING ASSEMBLIES AND PUBLIC DANCES:
   A.   Assemblies:
      1.   No person shall, by any menace, profane swearing, vulgar language or any unusual disorderly conduct, interrupt or disturb any assembly of people met for worship. (Ord. 22, 9-11-1885; amd. 2009 Code)
      2.   No person shall wilfully interrupt or disturb any school or other assembly of people met for a lawful purpose. (Ord. 22, 9-11-1885)
   B.   Public Dances:
      1.   This subsection is created to maintain peace at public dances held within the corporate boundaries of the village.
      2.   Anyone causing a disturbance while entering, participating in or exiting a public dance held within the corporate boundaries of the village is subject to the following:
         a.   First offense:
            (1)   The person causing the disturbance will be issued a citation for disturbance of the peace.
            (2)   The person causing the disturbance will be informed of the regulations of this subsection.
            (3)   The person causing the disturbance will be escorted from the area of the dance for the duration of the dance.
         b.   Second offense:
            (1)   The person causing the disturbance will be issued a citation for disturbance of the peace.
            (2)   The person will be informed that he is banished from all public dances within the village for a period of one year from the date of the second offense.
            (3)   The person causing the disturbance will be escorted from the area of the dance.
      3.   Anyone committing a second offense will be entered onto a list to be submitted to security persons for enforcement of banishment. If an organization sponsoring a public dance does not use sheriff radio patrol for security, the sponsoring organization will be held responsible for enforcing the "banishment list". Any organization which refuses to enforce the "banishment list" will not be allowed to rent the town hall for a public dance. (Ord., 10-30-1989)
