(a) No person shall use, conduct or operate a private residential indoor shooting range unless the person shall first obtain a permit therefore from the Planning & Zoning Officer.
(b) Upon application for a private residential shooting range there shall be filed with the Zoning Officer design plans which bear the stamp of approval and signature of a professional engineer or architect which is licensed by the State of Ohio.
(c) The fee for a Private Residential Indoor Shooting Range Permit shall be as set forth on the fee schedule posted in the Salem Planning & Zoning Office. The permit fee shall be on an annual basis and is not refundable. Permits issued hereunder are nontransferable.
(d) In addition to the fee stated in subsection (b) above, the applicant will be responsible for the cost to the City of Salem to conduct plan reviews and any inspections at the completion of the construction, modification or restoration of the indoor shooting range.
(e) Applications for a Private Residential Indoor Shooting Range Permit shall be made to the City of Salem, Zoning Office and shall include, but not be limited to, the following information:
(1) Site Plan, signed by a surveyor, architect or engineer, registered by the State of Ohio, to scale showing the location of all the components of the proposed Private Residential Indoor Shooting Range and the locations of all existing structures, buildings, property lines, along with distances and
(2) Elevation drawings of the site to scale showing the height, design, and configuration of the proposed Private Residential Indoor Shooting Range and the distance to all existing structures, buildings, property lines.
