Any person who takes down, removes or defaces any number put up in accordance with the provisions of this chapter, any person who retains any number on his building or makes use of any number, other than that provided for under the foregoing sections, or any owner, agent or occupant of any property who refuses or neglects to number under the foregoing sections for a period exceeding thirty days after he has been notified by the Planning and Zoning Officer of the number or numbers available for his use, upon conviction thereof by a court of competent jurisdiction, shall be guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
