The width of sidewalks shall be determined as follows:
(a) No sidewalk shall be less than four feet wide.
(b) Where sidewalk repairs are made on existing sidewalks, the width shall not be less than the existing walk.
(c) Where an existing walk is to be replaced with new construction, the new walk shall be the same width as existing walks in the area but not less than three and one-half feet wide.
(d) The City may require the owner to construct a sidewalk wider than existing walks in the area where circumstances warrant.
(e) In areas where no sidewalks currently exist and application is made for new construction, sidewalks shall not be less than four feet wide but the City may require wider sidewalks where circumstances warrant.
