10.16.110   Stop signs.
   Whenever any resolution of the city council designates and describes any street, or portion thereof, as a through street, or when determination has been made as provided in Sections 10.16.010 and 10.16.120 of this chapter that traffic entering an intersection or railroad crossing should be required to stop, the city traffic engineer shall erect and maintain stop signs as follows:
   A stop sign shall be erected on each and every street intersection of such through street, or portion thereof so designated, and at those entrances of other intersections where a stop is required and at any railroad grade crossing so designated. Every such sign shall conform and shall be placed as provided in the Vehicle Code.
   Those streets and parts of streets described in resolutions duly adopted by the city council are declared to be through streets for the purpose of this title.
   When stop signs are erected as provided in this title at the entrance to any intersection or at any railway grade crossing, every driver of a vehicle shall stop as required by the Vehicle Code. (Prior code § 25.02.040)
