10.16.120   Emergency and experimental regulations.
   The city traffic engineer is empowered to place or remove or cause to be placed or removed signs, signals and markings temporarily to cover emergencies, special conditions or events. Such signs, signals and markings shall be removed or reinstated in such manner to restore the original traffic control immediately upon termination of the emergency, condition or event.
   The city traffic engineer is empowered to place or remove signs and markings, otherwise requiring council action, temporarily on an experimental basis. Such signs or markings shall be removed or replaced within six months if not ratified by council action.
   When signs authorized by the provisions of this section are in place giving notice thereof, no person shall operate, park or stand any vehicle contrary to the directions and provisions of such signs. (Prior code § 25.02.041)
