Upon a final determination to terminate the franchise pursuant to Sections 5.28.1880 or 5.28.1890 of this chapter, the board of directors of the cable television commission, in its sole discretion, shall be authorized to purchase the property associated with the franchise, as defined by Section 5.28.560 of this chapter. Purchase of the property shall be made in accordance with the standards, procedures and provisions set forth in Sections 5.28.550 through 5.28.680 of this chapter. No compensation shall be payable by the commission or its assignee in relation either to the termination of the franchise or purchase of the property, except pursuant to and in accordance with said Sections 5.28.550 through 5.28.680 of this chapter.
