(A) Truck routes.
(1) Whenever the City Council designates any truck route, the City Manager shall cause to be erected and maintained, at points where the route enters the city and at all junction points and turns where necessary, and at all approaches to the parts of streets on which trucks are permitted, signs of the dimensions, and at such locations as shall be approved by him or her directing through traffic. The signs shall not be less than 6 by 14 inches in size.
(2) All two-axle trucks, three-axle trucks and tractor-trailer units entering the city destined to any point outside the city and not taking on or discharging any cargo within the city limits shall travel exclusively on the truck routes designated by the board and marked in accord with division (A)(1) and on the parts of the routes that constitute the shortest and most direct route from the point of entrance into the city and departure from the city.
(3) All three-axle trucks and tractor-trailer units entering the city destined to any point within the city shall travel exclusively on the truck routes designated and marked in accord with division (A)(1) to the point on the routes nearest to their destination and, upon taking on or discharging their cargo, shall use a regular city street to return to the nearest truck route for their movement out of the city or to some other point within the city.

(B) Load limits on certain streets. The truck load limit shall be 13,000 pounds per axle on the following residential streets:
(1) Academy Street.
(2) Allgood Street.
(3) Barden Street.
(4) West Barden Street.
(5) Barnett Avenue.
(6) Brater Street.
(7) Broad Street.
(8) Cates Street.
(9) Charles Circle.
(10) Charles Street.
(11) Church Street.
(12) Clayton Avenue.
(13) Crestwood Drive.
(14) Dolly Street.
(15) Dover Street.
(16) Edgar Street.
(17) Edwin Court.
(18) Garrett Street.
(19) Gordon Street from Crestwood to Madison.
(20) Harris Street.
(21) High Street.
(22) Hill Road.
(23) Hillhaven Terrace.
(24) Hillsboro Street.
(25) Ivey Street.
(26) Jefferson Drive.
(27) Jones Street.
(28) Lake Drive.
(29) Lamberth Street.
(30) Long Avenue.
(31) Longwood Terrace.
(32) Main Circle.
(33) Montford Drive.
(34) Morehead Street.
(35) Morgan Street from Reams to Oak Street.

(C) Heavier trucks. Trucks larger than three-quarter ton shall not use the streets enumerated in division (B) of this schedule, except for local delivery, regardless of loading condition.
