"SECTION 2.7. QUALIFICATION FOR OFFICE OFFICE; COMPENSATION; VACANCIES. 
   The qualifications and compensation of the Mayor and Council members shall be in accordance with general law. Vacancies shall be filled as provided in G.S. § 160A-63.
