5-1-6: INVESTIGATION; COMPLAINT UPON FAILURE TO ABATE:
   A.   If a notice to abate is issued, pursuant to Section 5-1-5 above, immediately upon the termination of the time allowed in any notice for the abatement of a nuisance, a peace officer of the Village or the Village Building and Zoning Administrator shall investigate the property to determine whether or not such nuisance has be abated.
   B.   In the event the owner or occupant of the property where such nuisance exists has failed within the prescribed time to abate such nuisance, such owner or occupant, or both, shall be subject to a fine for each day following the date on which such nuisance was to be abated and continuing through the date on which the nuisance was actually abated.
   C.   If the owner or occupant of the property already received its notice of abatement for said nuisance during this calendar-year, as set forth in subsection 5-1-7C, the owner or occupant of the property shall be immediately subject to a fine for each day following the date on which such nuisance was observed and continuing through the date on which the nuisance is actually abated.
