1319.01 LICENSE REQUIRED.
   No person shall engage in the business of installing, maintaining, altering or repairing for others within the City, or in connection with any City-owned property outside of the City, any electric wiring, devices, appliances or equipment unless the person has received an electrical contractor's license and a certificate therefor.
   No person, except a person employed by and working under the direction of a holder of an electrical contractor's license or an electrical service maintenance license, shall in any manner undertake to execute any work of installing, maintaining, altering or repairing any electric wiring, devices or equipment unless the person has received either an electrical contractor's license and a certificate therefor, or an electrical service maintenance license and a certificate.

1319.02 CLASSES OF LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES.
   Four classes of licenses and certificates shall be issued by the Municipal Administrator, which shall be designated respectively as Class I - Electrical Contractor's License; Class II - Electrical Service Maintenance License; Class III - Journeyman Electrician's License, and Class IV - Service Electrician's License:
   (a)    Class I - Electrical Contractor's License shall entitle the holder thereof to engage in the business of electrical contracting and to secure permits for installation, alteration and repair of any electric wiring, devices, appliances or equipment.
   (b)    Class II - Electrical Service Maintenance License shall entitle the holder thereof to undertake the work of installing, servicing, maintaining, altering and repairing electrical devices, appliances and equipment and the connection thereof to power outlets, provided the connection is to existing approved outlets only.
   (c)   Class III - Journeyman Electrician’s License shall entitle the holder thereof to undertake the work of installing, maintaining, altering and repairing electric wiring, devices, appliances and equipment in the employ of an electrical contractor.
   (d)   Class IV - Service Electrician’s License shall entitle the holder thereof to undertake the work of installing, servicing, maintaining, altering and repairing electrical devices, appliances and equipment and the connection thereof, in the employ of the holder of an electrical service maintenance license.
