A. Sale Of Vehicle: Whenever any vehicle so impounded shall remain unclaimed by the owner or other person legally entitled to possession thereof for a period of thirty (30) days and after notice shall have been given, it shall be the duty of the Department of Public Safety to sell such vehicle at public auction to the highest bidder, the time and place of the sale to be published at least once in a newspaper of general circulation in the area, such publication to be not less than ten (10) nor more than fifteen (15) days from expiration of the thirty (30) days. The department shall also cause a notice of the sale to be mailed to the Secretary of State.

B. Disposition Of Proceeds: The proceeds of the sale, after paying all liens and deducting all reasonable charges and expenses incurred, shall be deposited with the Finance Director.
