A. No person, except a member of the Public Safety Department, when on duty, or any officer of any court whose duty it may be to serve warrants or make arrests, shall fire or discharge any gun, pistol, fowling piece or other firearm, within the corporate limits of the Village.
B. It shall be unlawful for any person to carry or possess on or about his person, within the Allstate Arena or on or about the areas adjoining the Allstate Arena, including, but not limited to all parking areas, any pistol, revolver, derringer, taser, stun-gun, or other firearm, any knife, the blade of which is released by a spring mechanism, including knives known as switchblades, any stiletto, dagger, dirk, bully knife, commando knife, throwing star, any knife the blade of which is two inches (2") in length or longer, any billy, blackjack, slingshot, throwing star, stand club, sandbag, knuckles or bludgeon or any other dangerous or deadly weapon.
C. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, the provisions of this section shall not apply to Public Safety officers and personnel and public service officers while in the performance of their duties.
D. Any person violating the provisions of this section shall be fined not less than two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) nor more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00) for each offense. In addition to all of the penalties herein provided, any weapon used or possessed in violation of this section shall be forfeited to an confiscated by the Village.
