A. Any person who, by smoking or attempting to light or smoke cigarettes, cigars, pipes, or tobacco in any manner in which lighters or matches are employed, who shall, in any careless, reckless or negligent manner whatsoever, whether wilfully or wantonly or not, set fire to any bedding, furniture, curtains, drapes, house or any household fittings, or any part of any building whatsoever, so as to endanger life or property in any way or to any extent, shall be guilty of violating this section.
B. Any person in the Village failing to comply with the provisions of this section shall be subject to a penalty of not less than seventy five dollars ($75.00) nor more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00) for each offense.
