7-2-1: INJURY TO PERSONS, DAMAGE TO PROPERTY UPON PUBLIC HIGHWAY: 
Any person who, while riding, driving or propelling a bicycle, motorcycle, automobile, carriage, wagon or other vehicle, runs against, upon or over any person upon the public highway, so as to cause an injury to such person or property, and who does not stop at once to ascertain the extent of such injury and to render such assistance as may be needed, and who refuses to give his true name and residence when asked by the person so injured, or by any public safety officer, or by any other person in behalf of the injured person, shall be fined not less than seventy five dollars ($75.00) nor more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00) for each offense.
