A. The Director of Public Works shall be and hereby is authorized to serve written notice to remove all graffiti located on any premises in the Village on the owner and/or occupant of the premises. The owner or occupant shall remove the graffiti within seventy two (72) hours of receipt of such written notice unless the owner or occupant requests and receives an extension of time as provided in subsection B of this section.
B. The owner or occupant may make a request to the Director of Public Works for an additional seven (7) days within which to remove the graffiti. Such request must be made within seventy two (72) hours after receipt by the owner or occupant of the initial written notice to remove the graffiti. If the extension of time is granted, the owner or occupant must remove all graffiti from the premises before the expiration of the additional seven (7) day period.
