Other than set forth below, additional rules may be adopted from time to time by resolution of the City of Ronan.
(A) Definition. "Parks" shall mean all parks, trails, and open spaces owned or leased by the City of Ronan, including but not limited to ball fields, and any private land dedicated for public use.
(B) Hours of use are 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM, unless otherwise allowed by permit from the City of Ronan, or for the purpose of passing through a park to go from one area of the City of Ronan to another area.
(C) Camping and overnight parking. It is unlawful to camp, sleep, or park overnight in any park or parking lot associated with a park.
(D) Motorized vehicles.
(1) No person shall operate a motor vehicle within the boundaries of a town park except in parking lots.
(2) This rule does not apply to emergency or maintenance vehicles or vehicles necessary for use by the handicapped.
(3) No one shall clean, wash, or perform any motor vehicle maintenance in any park.
(4) No one shall drain or dump waste from any vehicle in any park.
(E) Fires.
(1) No person shall ignite or maintain a fire within a park except in a designated barbecue unit or by permit issued by the City of Ronan.
(F) Pets.
(1) Horses are not permitted in any park.
(2) Dogs will be under the handler's control.
(G) Littering.
(1) Littering in parks is prohibited.
(2) All food and animal waste shall be disposed of in a garbage can or other receptacle designed for such purposes.
(H) Amusement for gain.
(1) No amusement for gain or for which a charge is made can be conducted in a park without a permit granted by the City of Ronan.
(2) Such amusement must be conducted in accordance with all park rules.
(I) Firearms, projectiles, golf, archery, etc.
(1) All firearms are prohibited except duly authorized law enforcement personnel.
(2) No one shall hit golf balls, engage in archery, or throw spears in any park.
(J) Sound amplification.
(1) No one shall use, operate, or play any device producing sound at a volume that is audible at a distance of over 30 feet except if a permit is granted by the City of Ronan.
(K) Posting of signs.
(1) No one shall post, paste, paint, or affix any placard, bill, notice, or sign upon any structure or thing within any part of a park.
(L) Fireworks.
(1) Fireworks are prohibited in all parks.
(M) Trail use.
(1) Pedestrians, bicycles, skateboards, roller skates or rollerblades can use all trails.
(2) No motorized vehicles shall be allowed on the trails, except as set out above.
(3) Pathways may be used for the purpose of passing through a park to go from one area of the City of Ronan to another area at all hours.
(N) Alcoholic beverages.
(1) The possession of alcoholic beverages is prohibited in all parks except as allowed by permit issued by the City of Ronan.
(2) Members of groups or organizations, or individuals may request an alcoholic beverage permit issued by the City of Ronan.
(O) Penalties. Violation of this section shall be a misdemeanor, punishable as set forth in Ronan City Ordinances.
