(a) As provided in the City Charter, there is hereby established a Department of Law, consisting of a Director of Law who shall have the powers and duties set forth in Section 2 of Article IV of the Charter. He shall have such assistants as have heretofore or may in the future be provided by ordinance of Council.
(b) The salaries of the Director and/or assistants referred to herein shall be as now are or in the future may be fixed by ordinance of Council.
