(a) The sale of personal property, other than a motor vehicle as defined in Section 301.20 of these Codified Ordinances, to the general public conducted at a private residence, which sales shall include but not be limited to garage sales, patio sales, yard sales, basement sales, porch sales, driveway sales, rummage sales and the like, shall be conducted between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., each sale shall be no longer than three (3) consecutive days and shall be limited to two (2) such sales per residence in a calendar year.
(b) No sale, or offering for sale, of any motor vehicle, as defined in Section 301.20 of these Codified Ordinances, to the general public from a private residence, shall be conducted by a resident or a member of the family of such resident on such resident's property or on another resident's property more than twice each twelve month period.
