§ 71.17 INTERFERENCE WITH PROCESSIONS PROHIBITED; LIMITATION.
   (A)   No driver of a vehicle shall drive between the vehicles comprising a funeral or other authorized procession while they are in motion and when such vehicles are conspicuously designated.
   (B)   This provision shall not apply at intersections where traffic is controlled by traffic control signs or police officers.
(1984 Code, § 7-6-3) (Ord. 431, passed 1-16-1956) Penalty, see § 70.99
Statutory reference:
I.C. 9-21-13-2 prohibits a nonparticipant from driving between the vehicles in a funeral procession. The statute does not cover other forms of authorized processions, e.g., parades and the like. Therefore, the scope of this section is also broader than the statute and, as with § 71.16, the enforcement officer will need to determine whether the statutory or town regulation applies to a particular violation.
