Annotations-The city may regulate the permitting of steam to be released from railroad locomotive engines. Chicago, R.I. & P. Ry. Co. v. Steckman, 125 Ill. App. 299; affirmed, 224 Ill. 500, 79 N.E. 602 (1906).
A railroad speed limit ordinance is applicable to the case of a railroad employee injured while at his employment on a railroad right of way. Potter v. Chicago, M. & St. P. Ry. Co., 208 Ill. App. 363 (1917).
Where a railroad train was running at a greater rate of speed than the maximum permitted by ordinance, a prima facie case of negligence was established against the railroad company. Edwall v. Chicago, R.I. & P. Ry. Co., 208 Ill. App. 489 (1917).
