The following definitions shall apply in this article:
Accessory structure: A building subordinate to and smaller than a principal building or mobile home, that contributes to the comfort, convenience or necessity of the occupants of the principal building or mobile home.
Chief building inspector: The legally designated health authority or his authorized representative of the City of Rock Island, Illinois.
Dependent mobile home: A dependent mobile home means a trailer home which does not have a toilet or bath or shower facilities, and its use is prohibited in the mobile home park.
Independent mobile home: A transportable non-permanent single-family dwelling unit suitable for year-round occupancy and containing the same water supply, waste disposal, heating and air conditioning and electrical conveniences as conventional housing, meeting "American Standard Association" construction requirements of 1974, and subsequent revisions. This definition is not intended to include travel trailers or camper buses.
Mobile home: Any transportable nonpermanent single-family dwelling unit suitable for year-round occupancy.
Mobile home lot: A parcel of land designed for the exclusive use of the occupants of a single mobile home, also termed mobile home space.
Mobile home park: An area of land upon which two (2) or more occupied mobile homes are harbored either free of charge or for revenue purposes, and this shall include any building used or intended for use as a part of the equipment of such mobile home parks. This does not include travel trailers, tents or camper buses.
Mobile home stand: That part of an individual lot which has been reserved for the placement of the mobile home, appurtenant structures or additions.
Permit: A written permit issued by the chief building inspector or his designated representative permitting the mobile home park to operate under this health code and regulations promulgated hereunder.
