§ 52.045 SERVICE TO BE METERED; PERMIT TO REMOVE METER.
   All services for the furnishing of water to any consumer shall be measured by a meter which shall be furnished by the Waterworks Department and no person shall interfere with or remove any water meter from any service line after it has been attached unless upon the written permit of the Superintendent; provided, however, that service furnished for public and private fire protection shall not be required to be metered.
