There is hereby established a plan commission for the village, which commission shall be the same as that referenced in the Riverwoods zoning ordinance. The plan commission shall consist of a chairman and six (6) members appointed by the village president, subject to confirmation by the trustees.
Commencing on June 1, 2009, the term of office of the chairman and three (3) members of the plan commission appointed at such time shall be for four (4) years or until their respective successors are appointed; and the terms of office of the other three (3) members of the plan commission then appointed shall be for two (2) years or until their respective successors are appointed. Commencing on June 1, 2011, the terms of office of all members of the plan commission then and thereafter appointed shall be for four (4) years or until their respective successors are appointed.
