10-2-3-11: ESCROW DEPOSITS:
Prior to initial consideration by the Board of Trustees of the Village of an annexation agreement, a plat of subdivision or a request for zoning variation which will require review by either or both the Village Attorney and the Village Engineer or which may require publication of legal notices, an initial minimum escrow deposit of two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) for a commercial development or one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) for a residential development shall be made with the Village Treasurer. Said deposit may be set at a higher amount if deemed necessary by the Building Chairman and the Finance Chairman. In no event shall the deposit be set at a lower amount unless approved by a two-thirds (2/3) majority of the Board of Trustees.
Petitioner may be required to deposit additional funds to cover expenses incurred by the Village relating to their petition. Requests for additional deposits must be complied with within ten (10) working days from the date of request or petitioner will be deemed as having withdrawn his petition. (Ord. 85-7-40, 7-16-85)
