Any person whose request for inspection or photocopy of public records is denied in whole or in part shall have right to appeal the Village Clerk's decision to the Village President. All appeals shall be taken on the form provided by the Village, which is available from the Village Clerk at the Village Hall. Any and all appeals shall be filed with the Village Clerk no later than fourteen (14) days after the denial by the Village Clerk. In the event that an appeal is not taken within the fourteen (14) days, the applicant shall be deemed to have acquiesced in the ruling of the Village Clerk and the matter shall be deemed concluded.
The Village President shall make a decision as to the appeal and so advise the applicant by written letter no later than seven (7) working days after the notice of appeal is properly filed.
