In addition to statutory authority extended to the village by the Illinois legislature, the jurisdiction of the village regarding sanitary sewer systems serving the community and water regulations and facilities have been and may in the future be directly extended, limited or affected by intergovernmental agreements with the county of Lake and surrounding municipalities.
