4-9-2: DEFINITIONS:
COST SHARE PLAN: The plan prepared by the village ecologist, upon visiting a resident's property, to assess and report on the ecological characteristics of the resident's property. The cost share plan will include an aerial map and written notes and findings made by the village ecologist as a result of the assessment. The cost share plan for a particular property shall be a public record of the village maintained in accordance with state law.
COST SHARE PRACTICES: The particular actions to be undertaken under a cost share program pursuant to a specific cost share plan.
COST SHARE PROGRAM: One or more of the ecological cost share programs from time to time authorized by the village board to advance the purposes of this chapter and designed to reimburse residents, upon meeting certain objectives, for a share of the costs of implementing such programs.
COST SHARE PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS: The criteria for judging the suitability of a property to participate in a particular cost share program, the cost share practices that are to be undertaken to implement a particular cost share program and the terms and conditions that must be satisfied to obtain reimbursement for such cost share practices.
VILLAGE ECOLOGIST: One or more professional ecological consultants who are engaged as an independent contractor by the village to serve as the village's ecology consultant to assist in the interpretation, administration and enforcement of this chapter, consult on ecological considerations in the management of village owned properties, assist in the formulation, execution and enforcement of relevant village policies, regulations, and ordinances and perform such other duties as may be assigned by the village president.
