4-4-2: DEFINITIONS:
For the purpose of this Chapter:
DEEP WATER WELL SYSTEM: Any excavation that is drilled, cored, bored, washed, driven, dug, jetted or otherwise constructed that terminates in or below the Cambrian or Ordivician sandstone formations (sandstone wells nine hundred feet [900'] deep or greater) when the intended use of such excavation is for the location, diversion, artificial recharge or acquisition of ground water for human use or consumption.
GROUND WATER: Water of underground aquifers, streams, channels, artisan basins, reservoirs, lakes and other water under the surface of the ground, whether percolating or otherwise.
