No person shall sell at retail or solicit or receive an order for, or keep or expose for sale, or keep with the intention of selling, any alcoholic liquor without first obtaining a license therefor, as is hereinafter provided. All licenses issued by the local liquor control commissioner shall state thereon the name of the licensee and the address and description of the premises for which it is granted, and the date of its issuance and expiration. Such license shall be signed by the local liquor control commissioner, and each licensee shall cause his license issued under the provisions of this chapter to be framed and hung in plain view in a conspicuous place on the licensed premises.
