3-1-10-2: AUTHORITY; CONFLICT:
   A.   This section 3-1-10 is adopted by the village as an exercise of its home rule powers under the Illinois constitution of 1970, and by the authority granted by Illinois statutes, including, but not limited to, 65 Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/11-42-11, the cable and video customer protection law 1
and by federal law, including the cable communications policy act of 1984, as amended from time to time, 47 USC section 521 et seq., the telecommunications act of 1996, and any other federal law hereinafter adopted which regulates the cable television industry, all as the same may be amended from time to time.
   B.   Where any provision of this section 3-1-10 conflicts with any provision of Illinois or federal law, this section 3-1-10 shall be superseded but only to the extent necessary to resolve the conflict. (Ord. 09-4-5, 4-7-2009)
