9-2-19: PENALTY:
   A.   Alternate Penalties; Compliance Warning Tickets: Effective June 24, 2013, any person, pursuant to the issuance of a compliance warning ticket, who is accused of a violation of certain sections of this code as hereinafter described in subsection B of this section, except a traffic offense for which a court appearance is required pursuant to chapter 110A Illinois Compiled Statutes, 1992, may settle and compromise that ticket by paying to the village a fine of thirty dollars prior to the first hearing date or by paying to the village the sum of fifty dollars subsequent to the first hearing date and one hundred dollars subsequent to the second hearing date.
The issuance of compliance warning citations shall be as a courtesy in lieu of instituting prosecution in court for the alleged offense. If the person accused of the violation does not settle the claim, a uniform traffic complaint or notice to appear will be issued for that violation and otherwise that person shall be subject to the general penalties set forth in the Illinois vehicle code, 625 Illinois Compiled Statutes.    B.   Compliance Violations: The following violations of the Illinois vehicle code, 625 Illinois Compiled Statutes, as adopted by the village in section 9-2-1 of this chapter shall be subject to the procedures described in subsection A of this section: (Ord. 2505, 7-27-1992)
