8-1-9: OFFENSES AGAINST PEACE OFFICERS:
   A.   Resisting Arrest; Hindering Police; Aiding In Escape: It shall be unlawful for any person to resist any member of the police department of the village in the discharge of his duty, or in any way interfere with or hinder or prevent any policeman from discharging his duty, or to endeavor so to do, and to assist in any manner any person in custody of any policeman to escape or attempt to escape from such custody.
   B.   Impersonating Police 1 : It shall be unlawful for any person to falsely represent himself or assume or pretend to be a policeman of the village or a member of the police department, or with the intent to deceive, use or wear in public or imitate any of the signs, signals or devices adopted and used by the police department, or to wear in public the uniform or badge adopted or used as the police uniform or badge of the village, or any other which shall be similar in appearance.
