In addition to the regular removal and collection of garbage, trash and refuse from residences and business establishments as provided for in Section 945.14, the City may provide, at such times and in such manner as are feasible, for special pickups of garbage, trash or refuse, upon the request of any person who resides or conducts business within the City. The City shall charge and collect a fee from any person so requesting a special pickup of garbage, trash or refuse. The amount of the fee charged and collected for any such special pickup shall be calculated as follows:
For the collection and removal of pieces of furniture, appliances and other such items of used equipment or furnishings $15.00 per item, not to exceed $150.00 per truck load. For the collection and removal of brush, tree limbs, lumber, bilding materials, blocks, bricks and other miscellaneous material or refuse, $150.00 per truck load |
In addition to the amounts provided for above, for every such special pickup requiring more than one-half hour to load there shall be added to the fee for said pickup an additional charge for the labor provided at the rate of ten dollars ($10.00) per hour per person for the actual loading time in excess of one-half hour.
The City will continue to provide service with the chipper machine at such time and in such manner as may be feasible and upon advance arrangement by residents for such service.
