No portion of an in-ground, outdoor, private residential swimming pool, except the walkway described in Section 1468.07(j) or appurtenant equipment (pumps, filters, etc.), shall be located at a distance less than ten feet from any side or rear property line or building line except where such appurtenant equipment is installed in an accessory or main building. No portion of an outdoor above-ground pool, except the walkway described in Section 1468.07(j), or appurtenant equipment, shall be located at a distance less than ten feet from any side or rear property line or less than three feet from the building line. No appurtenant equipment serving a swimming pool shall be permitted in a required side yard between dwellings.
