(a) All rates or charges for garbage and rubbish collection and disposal services shall be payable quarterly. The owner of the premises, the occupants thereof and the user of the services shall be jointly and severally liable to pay for the services to such premises, and the services are furnished to the premises by the Village only upon the condition that the owner of the premises, the occupant and the user of the services are jointly and severally liable to the Village. Bills for garbage and rubbish collection and disposal shall be sent out by the Village as part of the water billing on a quarterly basis.
(b) All garbage bills are due and payable thirty days after being sent out. A penalty of ten percent shall be added to all bills not paid by the thirtieth day after they have been sent out.
(c) (1) A charge of sixty cents ($0.60) will be charged to any customer that elects to receive an email version of their water, wastewater maintenance and refuse bill.
(2) The Village will accept internet payments of water, wastewater maintenance and refuse bills through the IConnect system through the Village’s official website www.RichtonPark.org.
There will be no fees to customers who use this method of payment.
