1042.05 RIGHT OF ACCESS TO PREMISES SERVED.
   Employees of the waterworks and sewerage system shall have the right of access to any premises served by the system for the purpose of reading water meters at regular prescribed intervals, to determine whether or not there are illegal connections in and to the premises which cause storm water, ground water and other extraneous flows into the system, or for the purpose of making inspections in order to maintain such system in good condition and provide for the protection of such system and the efficient management thereof. Where such inspections are not of an immediate or urgent nature, employees of the system shall arrange for appointments mutually convenient to persons on the premises served and such employees. Any person refusing the right to permit any such employee the right of access to his or her premises is subject to the penalty provided in Section 1042.99.
