(a) Generally. Any person, firm or entity that desires a Village vehicle license decal or plate for a motor vehicle shall make application to the Village Clerk upon a form provided therefor, giving the name and address of the applicant, a description of the vehicle for which the license is desired, the place where such vehicle is kept when not in use, and such other information as may be prescribed. Upon payment of the fee specified in Section 426.03, the Clerk shall issue or cause to be issued a vehicle license decal or metal plate, attested to by the Clerk, authorizing the use of such vehicle in the Village until the expiration of such decal or plate.
(b) Vehicle Used for Charitable Purposes. Any person or nonprofit entity that wishes to obtain a Village vehicle license decal or metal plate for a motor vehicle that is primarily used in conducting the official activities of a religious or charitable not-for-profit organization shall make application to the Clerk upon a form provided for that purpose, setting forth the name and address of the applicant, a description of the vehicle, proof of the vehicle’s having a current State CV license plate, the place where the vehicle is kept when not is use, proof that the vehicle will be used for religious or charitable purposes and that it is currently registered as a charitable vehicle under Section 3-808 of the Illinois Vehicle Code, as amended, and such other information as may be prescribed. Upon payment of the fee set forth in Section 426.03
, the Clerk shall issue or cause to be issued a vehicle license decal or metal plate authorizing the use of such vehicle in the Village until the expiration of such decal or plate.
(c) Motor Vehicles of Senior Citizens (sixty-five years of age or older), requires proof of age. Limit one per household.
(d) Motor Vehicles of Disabled American Veterans requires proof of the vehicle having a DV (Disabled Veteran) license plate. Limit one per household.
(e) Motor Vehicles of Former Prisoners of War requires proof of vehicle having a XP (Ex-Prisoner of War) license plate. Limit one per household.
(f) Motor Vehicles of Disabled Individuals requires proof of vehicle having an Illinois Disabled license plate. Limit one per household.
