An inspector who gains entrance to premises under the authority of Section 208.01 or 208.02 shall not obtain or furnish evidence for, or testify to, an offense other than a violation of the standards, rules or regulations of the Village pertaining to particular violations for which he or she is inspecting, except with respect to a felony or misdemeanor involving an act of violence which is committed in his or her presence.
