1501.01 ADOPTION OF OHIO FIRE CODE.
   (a)   In accordance with Section 4.12(a) of the City Charter, the Ohio Fire Code, as adopted by the State Fire Marshal, and as may be amended hereafter, is hereby adopted and incorporated by reference.
   (b)   In accordance with Section 4.12(b) of the City Charter, the Building Official shall file a copy of this code with the Clerk of Council, and shall file all revised versions of this code whenever it is revised or amended by the State Fire Marshal.

1501.02 PURPOSE.
   The purpose of the Fire Prevention Code shall be to maintain public safety by prescribing regulations governing conditions involving fire or explosion that could be hazardous to life and property.

1501.03 DEFINITIONS.
   The following terms as used in this code or the Ohio Fire Code, shall have the following meanings:
   (a)   "Municipality" means the City of Reynoldsburg.
   (b)   "Corporation counsel" means City Attorney.
   (c)   "Bureau of Fire Prevention" means person designated to enforce the provisions of the BOCA Basic/National Fire Prevention Code.
