The following terms as used in this code or the Ohio Fire Code, shall have the following meanings:
(a) "Municipality" means the City of Reynoldsburg.
(b) "Corporation counsel" means City Attorney.
(c) "Bureau of Fire Prevention" means person designated to enforce the provisions of the BOCA Basic/National Fire Prevention Code.

The Mayor, Director of Public Safety and Building Official shall collectively determine and specify, after giving affected persons an opportunity to be heard, any new materials, processes or occupancies which require permits, in addition to those now enumerated in the Ohio Fire Code. The Director of Public Safety shall post such list in a conspicuous place, and distribute copies to interested persons.

(a) Whoever violates any provision of this code or the Ohio Fire Code, fails to comply therewith, violates or fails to comply with any order made thereunder, or builds in violation of any detailed statement of specifications or plans submitted and approved thereunder of any certificate or permit issued thereunder, shall, for each violation and noncompliance respectively, be guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
(b) The imposition of a penalty for any such violation shall not excuse the violation or permit it to continue; all such persons shall be required to correct or remedy such violations or defects within a reasonable time. When not otherwise specified each ten (10)-day period that prohibited conditions are maintained shall constitute a separate offense.
(c) The application of the above penalty shall not be held to prevent the enforced removal of prohibited conditions.
