Authorize Issuance and Sale of Bonds
Ord. 188, Second Series, adopted 2-4-1992, authorizes issuance and sale of $485,000 taxable general obligation bonds by the Redwood Falls Port Authority to finance the acquisition and construction of a manufacturing facility to be leased to Zytec Corporation.
Final Plat Approved for Redwood Square
Ord. 168, Second Series, adopted 10-16-1990, approved final plat for Redwood Square.
Uniform Election Day Law
Ord. 212, Second Series, adopted 8-25-1994, established even-numbered year elections in compliance with the 1994 Uniform Election Day Law.
Ord. 213, Second Series, adopted 8-25-1994, adopted a transition schedule with amended terms of office to be in compliance with the State Uniform Election Day Law.
Moratorium on Adult Entertainment Uses
Ord. 209, Second Series, adopted 8-2-1994, established a moratorium indefinitely prohibiting the establishment of adult entertainment uses until the city staff has had an opportunity to study the siting of the uses and a public hearing regarding placement and location of the uses has been held.
Charter Amendment
Ord. No. 6, Third Series, adopted 9-3-1996, recommends to Charter Commission a change to allow outside city limits, persons on commissions.
Ord. No. 30, Third Series, adopted 8-4-1998, Council determines need to have voters determine whether all Council Members should serve At-Large.
Parking Ordinance Repealed
Ord. No. 19, Third Series, adopted 8-5-1997, repeals Ord. No. 81, Second Series, that established a two-hour parking limit in downtown business district.
Naming of Streets
Ord. No. 27, Third Series, adopted February 26, 1998, names street as "Wander Lane" in Kiel-Steinbach Addition.
Ord. No. 46, Third Series, adopted February 10, 2000, changes a portion of Woodhill Road to Oakwood Drive within the city limits.
Ord. No. 29, Fourth Series, adopted April 2, 2013, changes the name of Valley View Road, as identified on attached Exhibit A, to Northwood Drive.
Electric Franchise
Ord. 33, Third Series, adopted 1-19-1999, grants an electricity franchise to Redwood Electric Cooperative.
Gas Franchise
Ord. 76, Second Series, adopted 7-6-1982, granted a gas franchise to Great Plains Natural Gas Co. for a period of 15 years.
Ord. 16, Third Series, adopted 7-1-1997, granted a gas franchise extension to Great Plains Natural Gas Co.
Ord. 58, Fourth Series, adopted 8-1-2017, granted a gas franchise to Great Plains Natural Gas Co.
Cable TV Franchise
Ord. 68, Second Series, adopted 12-8-1981, as amended by Ord. 80, Second Series, adopted 9-7-1982; Ord. 92, Second Series, adopted 2-21-1984; Ord. 98, Second Series, adopted 1-2-1985; Ord. 113, Second Series, adopted 7-15-1986; Ord. 114A, Second Series, adopted 8-5-1986, granted a cable TV franchise to Todd Communications, Inc. for a period of 15 years; Ord. 12, Third Series, adopted 12-17-1996, extends expiration date of existing cable television franchise; Ord. No. 9, Third Series, adopted 2-4-1997, grants franchise to Triax Midwest Associates, L.P.; Ord. 22, Fourth Series, adopted 2-21-2012, extends expiration date of existing cable television franchise to Mediacom Minnesota LLC.
Ord. 68, Third Series, adopted 5-7-2002 and effective 5-22-2002, for a period of 15 years to construct, operate and maintain a cable television system by New Ulm Telecom, Inc.
Ord. 23, Fourth Series, adopted 4-17-2012 and effective upon acceptance, grants a cable television franchise to Mediacom Minnesota LLC d/b/a Mediacom Communications Corporation, for a period of 15 years, and repeals Ord. 9, Third Series.
Ord. 60, Fourth Series, adopted 2-20-2018, extending the term and modifying section 4.1(a) of the franchise agreement with New Ulm Telecom, Inc., for a period of 10 years, to expire on 12-31-2027.
Residential Municipal Solid Waste Collect and Hauling Franchise
Ord. 43, Third Series, effective 9-30-1999, grants Curry Sanitation, Inc. a franchise to collect and haul residential solid waste within the city.
Ord. 98, Third Series, effective 9-22-2004, grants Curry Sanitation, Inc. a franchise to collect and haul residential solid waste within the city.
Ord. 3, Fourth Series, effective 9-22-2009, grants Waste Management of Minnesota, Inc. a franchise to collect and haul residential municipal solid waste in the city.
Ord. 41, Fourth Series, effective 9-22-2014, grants West Central Sanitation a franchise to collect and haul residential municipal solid waste in the city.
Ord. 64, Fourth Series, effective 9-17-2019, grants West Central Sanitation a franchise extension to collect and haul residential municipal solid waste in the city.
Telephone Company Franchise for Right to Use the City Rights-of-Way
Ord. 158, Second Series, adopted 6-19-1990, granted a franchise renewable on an annual basis to Redwood County Telephone Company the right to use the city rights-of-way for installation of telephone lines.
Ord. 170, Second Series, adopted 11-20-1990, granted a permanent franchise to Redwood County Telephone Company to use the city's rights-of-way in the city's Industrial Park by amending Ord. 158, Second Series.
