§ 2.10 CITY CLERK.
   Subd. 1.   Position created. The position of City Clerk is hereby created.
   Subd. 2.   Duties. The City Clerk shall be the chief administrative officer of the city. The City Clerk shall also be known as the City Administrator. As to any statutory matter referring to the office of the City Clerk, the City Administrator shall be the City Clerk, and in his or her absence, the Deputy Clerk shall be the City Clerk.
   Subd. 3.   Bond. The Council shall provide for a corporate surety bond, furnished by a surety company authorized to transact business in the State of Minnesota, and covering the position and duties of the City Clerk. Premiums on the bond shall be paid from city funds.
